Imersifi had the opportunity to exhibit at GDC (Games Developer Conference) 2023, San Francisco, California. As one of the largest industry events for gaming and technology, GDC provides an invaluable platform for companies to showcase their latest products, network with industry professionals, and explore the latest trends and innovations in the gaming world.

Imersifi attended the event as part of the Welsh Government Delegation, representing Wales and its burgeoning tech sector. The company’s inclusion in the delegation underscores its rising prominence within the UK’s thriving VR industry. At GDC 2023, Imersifi had the chance to showcase its cutting-edge VR technologies and software to an international audience

The trip started at 38,000 ft, where the team were testing the VR training to be displayed at the conference.

The first VR app that Imersifi showcased was a virtual cafe, designed to demonstrate the possibilities of 6 degrees of freedom (6DoF) for hospitality training. Through this app, Imersifi aimed to demonstrate how VR technology can provide immersive and effective training experiences for hospitality professionals, enabling them to improve their skills and knowledge in a safe and controlled environment.

The second app that Imersifi showcased was a virtual dental training scenario, which highlighted the possibilities of 6DoF for healthcare training. In this scenario, users were able to practice a dental procedures. By simulating real-life dental situations in a virtual environment, Imersifi aimed to provide a safe and effective way for dental professionals to improve their skills and confidence, while minimizing the risk of mistakes or accidents.

The Imersifi team had the incredible opportunity to demo our immersive technology to the Welsh Minister of Economy.

The Welsh delegation at GDC was truly inspiring, with so many talented individuals and companies showcasing their skills and creativity. It’s a testament to the incredible talent that Wales has to offer, and we are thrilled to be a part of it.

We had an incredible discussion about the power of 6DoF virtual reality on headsets, such as the PICO 4 and PICO 4 enterprise for training and deployments at scale for different organizations.
